Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart Reportedly Split Betches

When it comes to celebrity couples, we all have that one. You know, the one you think are completely rock solid and take for granted. The one that, to you, exemplifies true love. The one that, if they were to break up, would signify that love as we know it does not exist. For me, that couple is probably Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. But if you’re a teenager and Riverdale fan, that couple might be Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart, who are (were?) a couple on Riverdale and in real life. So I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news when I tell you that multiple outlets are reporting Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart may have broken up. Cole and Lili, who …

Blessed By Venus: Weekend Horoscopes July 26-28 Betches

We’ve survived Cancer season and we’re moving into, you guessed it, Leo season. How appropriate that an emotionless version of The Lion King just graced theaters, too! Venus is in and around our signs this week, which spells out better romance for most of us. Overall, the planets seem to have our backs this weekend and are less sh*tty for our outlooks than in weeks past. Shout about your romantic life from the rooftops, Leo. Not literally. But seriously, it’s time to be open about that dude you’ve been seeing, and up the ante on your look to match the new hotness going on, whether it’s someone new or just a solid standby (like your husband or forever bf). It’s …

A man surprises his wife with an Amazon box that’s good enough to eat

(CNN)Waylon McGuire had a prime idea to surprise his wife on her birthday. He decided to order a cake shaped like one of her most favorite things. The chocolate cake was created by Sweet Dreams Bakery in North Carolina, complete with a shipping label and packing tape. She said it cost about $50 and was delicious. McGuire shared pictures of the cake on her company Facebook page. Based on the “insane” reaction she’s received, it’s clear McGuire is not the only Amazon fanatic. The Facebook group Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons shared the image on its page and received more than 26,000 likes. McGuire said her husband has never done something like this before, but now it might be …

Archaeological Evidence Supports Medieval Accounts Of A Five-Week Siege During First Crusade

This week, researchers at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Charlotte have announced the most recent findings of excavation work taking place in Mount Zion, Jerusalem: a previously rumored but never-before-seen trench, 17 meters wide by 4 meters deep. They say it is the moat-trench built by the Fatimid defenders of Jerusalem in 1099 to stave off European attackers.  The First Crusade, called for by Pope Urban II in 1095, was the first of many attempts by western European forces to recapture the Holy Land (Levant) and Jerusalem from Islamic control. The First Crusaders stormed Jerusalem in 1099 after a bloody and barbaric campaign fought from both sides of the city, and were ultimately successful, re-capturing and establishing the Kingdom of Jerusalem. …

It looks like TikTok has acquired Jukedeck, a pioneering music AI UK startup

A key change is in the works for Jukedeck, a pioneering AI startup out of the U.K. which was building technology to create music using AI — including the ability to interpret video and automatically set music to it. The London company has reportedly been acquired by hot social media music startup TikTok, owned by China’s ByteDance. Jukedeck was previously a TechCrunch London 2015 Battlefield winner. Jukedeck had raised £2.5 million, largely from Cambridge Innovation Capital, but also included investors Parkwalk Advisors, Backed VC and Playfair Capital, the most recent investors. Founder and CEO Ed Newton-Rex changed his LinkedIn profile recently to say he’s been working for TikTok’s parent company ByteDance as director of its AI Lab since April of …

I dont fit in. They dont really want me there. I wonder why I wasnt invited. Circles are great if you’re on the inside.’

ShareTweetPinterest Sometimes I feel like I’m not quite cool enough. Sometimes I feel like I’m not quite popular enough. Sometimes I feel like I don’t fit in the same way other people do. Sometimes I feel like there is a group who maybe doesn’t really want me there. Sometimes I wonder why I wasn’t invited. Sometimes I walk up to a circle of people and I don’t know whether to force my way in, or be awkward hanging around on the outside, just twiddling my thumbs, kicking the dirt, talking to myself, waiting until I can leave and go home to the safety of my sofa. Circles are great if you’re on the inside. They can be fun if you’re …

HBOs Years and YearsWith Its Near-Future, Personal and Global DramasIs The Best Thing on TV

If you are a Russell T. Davies fan, or indeed any Years and Years fan, will have been both not shocked and surprisedthe writer and show are adept twist-and-turnersand yet hugely shocked and surprised, because the death was stark and its immediate aftereffects even starker. Years and Years is unlike any science fiction, or piece of futurism, on TV. It is set in the future, but the near-future, a recognizable, all too politically and culturally plausible future. Right-wing nationalism is on the rise globally, Emma Thompsons far-right PM Viv Rooka scarily spot-on mash-up of Trump, Katie Hopkins,

AT&T Hired Michael Cohen to Consult on Net Neutrality, FBI Says

AT&T hired Donald Trumps former attorney to advise the company on a range of issues broader than previously known, according to newly unsealed FBI documents. The telecommunications giant paid Cohen, now in prison for tax fraud, $50,000 per month, according to the unsealed documents. For that fee, Cohen provided AT&T assistance and advice on political issues, including net neutrality, the merger between AT&T and Time Warner, and tax reform. Previously, the $600,000 in total. AT&Ts $85 billion merger with Time Warner was subject to federal approval at the time, raising questions of whether Cohen violated lobbying laws. Trump opposed the deal, denying implications of preferential treatment, but a judge cleared the way for the merger last a big mistake. The …

Why the heat index matters more than the temperature in this heat wave

(CNN)Checking the temperature reading during this weekend’s heat wave won’t tell the whole sweltering story. It’s going to feel a lot hotter. So, Washington — with a predicted temperature Saturday of 100 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity of 73% — can expect it to feel like 111 degrees, she said. And Boston’s forecast high temperature of 97 degrees, with relative humidity of 71%, will make it feel like 105. And that’s not even in the sun. “When we, as meteorologists, forecast the high temperatures or the heat index, that is in the shade,” Brink said. “The sun definitely makes it worse.” In “direct sunlight, the heat index value can be increased by up to 15 degrees Fahrenheit,” according to the …
